About the Presenter:

Robert C. Schlegel, FASA, MCBA

Robert C. Schlegel is a Principal at Houlihan Valuation Advisors, specialising in business appraisal, estate planning, forensic accounting, and economic damages analysis. With extensive experience as an expert witness in Federal and Indiana courts, Rob has led numerous valuation studies across diverse industries.

A prolific author and trainer, he has contributed to publications such as Business Valuation Update and The Matrimonial Strategist, and co-authored several books, including Valuing a Business, 2022. Rob has presented at international conventions, including the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the American Society of Appraisers, and regularly teaches valuation-related courses for professional organisations.

A former Lieutenant Colonel in the US Marine Corps Reserve, Rob holds degrees in Economics and Labour Relations and has completed PhD coursework in Management. He has also served in leadership roles, including International President of the American Society of Appraisers, earning recognition such as the Society’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Based in Lawrence, Indiana, Rob continues to contribute to the valuation profession through his expertise, teaching, and leadership.
