Leader of the Education Board

The Leader of the BVIUK Education Board plays a pivotal role in advancing the organisation’s educational mission and upholding its commitment to excellence in business valuation. Appointed by BVIUK’s Executive Management, the Leader serves a two-year term and is entrusted with overseeing the Board’s activities and initiatives.

As a key figure within BVIUK’s governance structure, the Leader is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Education Board, ensuring its contributions align with the organisation’s overarching goals and objectives. This includes supervising the activities of subordinated Policy Councils, which are integral to the Board’s work in generating innovative ideas, shaping educational policies, and addressing emerging challenges within the valuation profession.

The Leader collaborates closely with the Executive Management and other Board members to support professional standards, encourage knowledge-sharing, and enhance educational opportunities for BVIUK Members and the broader valuation community.

 

By facilitating productive discussions, fostering collaboration, and ensuring actionable outcomes, the Leader ensures the Board’s work remains impactful and aligned with BVIUK’s strategic priorities.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Leader provides an annual update on the Board’s achievements, which is published in BVIUK’s journal, The Valuer. This report highlights the Board’s contributions and progress, showcasing its role in furthering BVIUK’s standing as a global leader in business valuation education.

The position of Leader is one of significant influence and responsibility, requiring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to the advancement of the business valuation profession.

Any work produced by BVIUK Board or Policy Council Members as part of their assignments during their term shall remain the intellectual property of BVIUK, with BVIUK retaining all rights to its use, reproduction, and distribution for commercial or non-commercial purposes.
